Happy Thanksgiving y'all!
For me, Thanksgiving always makes me think of King Kong!
Channel 9 in New York used to play Kong marathons on Turkey day-- no idea why-- but they would show the original (1933) and it's sequel SON OF KONG (also 1933) and then MIGHTY JOE YOUNG (1949) which is sort of a kiddie version of King Kong. I liked Joe when I was a kid, I have a hard time sitting through it now.
But the other two remain cherished titles in my DVD collection.
You can have your Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade-- for me, it's about High School Football, Kong and Turkey with cranberry sauce and stuffing.
