TCM THis Week: DOUBLE INDEMNITY

Tuesday has GUNGA DIN (1939) at 4pm with Cary Grant-- great action film and  REBECCA (1940) at 8pm which is Hitchcock's first American film.  It's a brilliant film.

MURDER HE SAYS (1945) is a zany murder mystery, on Wednesday at 8pm with Fred MacMurray, and followed up at 10pm with DOUBLE INDEMNITY (1944) also with Mac and its the PIC of the WEEK in my book-- gripping story about a woman out to kill her husband for the insurance.

Thursday/Friday at 1230am is MATA HARI (1931) with Greta Garbo as the master german spy.

BULLIT (1968) is on at 4pm Friday-- Steve McQueen demonstrates he's the king of  cool in this police drama.

9am on Saturday is DR JEKYLL AND MR HYDE (1941) with Spencer Tracy as the doctor with a split personality-- at 1pm is THE POSTMAN ALWAYS RINGS TWICE (1946) which is nearly a remake of DOUBLE INDEMNITY so watch this one too.

At 330am is THE THREE MUSKETEERS (1948) which is the most flamboyant portrayal of a swash buckler I've ever seen and proof positive in my mind that Gene Kelly "dressed to the left" as they say.  I can't get through three minutes without giggling.
