Thursday night is a double feature you can't go wrong with.  There are movies and there are classics and they don't get any more classic than these two starting at 8pm

CASABLANCA (1942) with Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman
THE THIRD MAN (1949) with Orson Welles and Joseph Cotton

I've had people pshaw films such as these with mumblings like;

"Oh I know they're great but I just can't get into them."

Honestly if you feel that way you are a moron.
You NEED to see these movies.  THESE are the movies that inspired EVERY other movie.  There would be no film today without these masterpieces.

Watch them both START to FINISH and then see if you feel the same way-- START to FINISH.

FIVE CAME BACK (1939) is on at 6am on Saturday-- its about a mixed group of people who crash land on a desert island-- it actually is one of the inspirations for Gilligan's Island but don't expect any laughs or coconut radios.  Highly recommended if a bit melodramatic.
