One of the benefits of working at the Art Museum here in the Big Woo is that we get to raid the recycle room for art making materials both for our classes and personal use-- which will eventually make their way into an art lesson anyway.
Fellow Faculty member JJ Buckmaster scored this great adhesive vinyl material given to use by Flex-Con in Spencer which is perforated-- allowing you to place it down on the canvas or in this case Illustration Board (cold press) and add colors in a pop art style-- like Lichtenstein's work from the sixties.
This was done using colored inks (Doc Martins to be exact) and then black ink applied with a brush over the dried piece.
