ANDY FISH is a comic book artist

Thursday, May 9, 2013

I got a few email questions from folks out there after this post last week-- and I want to emphasize that any artist or writer of any level will benefit from this class.  You do NOT have to be a fan of comics or superheroes to take the class-- it's okay if you are of course-- but this could be a great experience for you.  Imagine if you found your grandfather's diary from WWII done in comic art form!

Learn all the basics of creating your own comic book art-- learn how to tell stories using a combination of words and pictures, study the works of some of the great creators of the past and look at some examples of actual comic book art in this fun and fast paced studio class.

Dates:  Mondays- May 13 - July 1, 2013
Meets:  6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 7 sessions
Hours:  21.00
CEUs:  21.00
Location:  Studio 203
Instructor: Andy Fish
Fee: $215.00

The class is designed for artists and writers of all levels-- in fact if you're a writer and you want to consider working in the graphic novel field this is a great course to help you to be able to visually compose pages for your story to make you a stronger writer.

We'll cover panel and page composition-- working in pencils and ink.
How to do an effective layout and more.
