TCM THIS WEEK; BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN!

This morning finds a few LAUREL AND HARDY films and shorts-- if you're a fan you should check them out-- I've never found them funny so I'll pass.

THE 400 BLOWS is on at 245am and it's a classic Francois Truffaut film from 1959.

Tuesday has STAGE DOOR (1937) is on at 215pm with a great cast including Katherine Hepburn.
At 8pm begins a pair of film noirs I'd highly recommend-- KISS OF DEATH (1947) followed by WHERE THE SIDEWALK ENDS (1950) at 10pm.    THE TAKING OF PELHAM ONE TWO THREE (1974) is on at 315am with Walter Matthau as the most unlikely cop in cinema history.  GREAT movie.

Wednesday is rip roarin' with JOURNEY INTO FEAR (1942) which I like very much and its on at 815am, THE THIRD MAN (1949) is a real classic and we've got SPELLBOUND at 10pm with Ingrid Bergman in a Hitchcock classic.  FORBIDDEN PLANET is on at 8pm, and thats well regarded as a classic but I think its over rated.

Saturday night's Essentials is THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN (1935) at 8pm which is one of my favorite movies of all time-- it's the must see PIC PICK of the WEEK.
At 1115pm is MURDER BY DEATH (1976) which is laugh out loud stupid about the world's greatest detectives getting together at a mysterious house run by Truman Capote.
