This Week on TCM: Frankenstein

Do I have to keep recommending FRANKENSTEIN (1931)?  Well I have and I continue to do so.  Its on Tuesday at 945am which is about as silly a time as you can put it on-- but set the DVR.  Of all the Frankenstein films that have been done for the past 100 years this one stands alone (okay, the Bride is just as good).

Wednesday finds THE TIME MACHINE (1960) on at 8pm-- sci fi fans will like this one which is sort of a combination Victorian Drawing room drama and Sinbad.  It's not my cup of tea but it's a pretty good film.

Friday has WHITE HEAT (1949) at 1230pm-- TOP of the world ma!  This is a great movie.
DRACULA'S DAUGHTER (1936) is on at 945pm and it's a sequel to DRACULA and kind of a mess but if you force yourself to watch it you'll find yourself wondering why.

Saturday's got MURDERS IN THE RUE MORGUE (1932) with Bela Lugosi in the role he got when he didn't get Frankenstein-- it's a movie thats out there but entertaining.  EARTH VS THE FLYING SAUCERS (1956) is better than you think its going to be in no small part because of the special effects.

SULLIVANS TRAVELS (1941) is the ESSENTIALS tonight and it's a real winner-- one of my favorite movies of all time. Make sure you catch the WHOLE movie.  It's the MUST SEE PIC PICK OF THE WEEK.
