This Week on TCM: FIVE CAME BACK!

Five Came Back (1938) is on tonight at 8pm-- basically a plane crashes on a remote desert island filled with cannibals and only five people in the party can safely be flown out due to the damage the plane has taken-- will it be Lucille Ball?  Patric Knowles?  You'll find out if you watch and it's the Must See Pic PICK of the Week.

Thursday is THE THIN MAN at 11pm-- this 1934 comedy/mystery launched not only a film series but a genre.

Friday is TARZAN Day-- Tarzan from 6am to Midnight-- among the better Tarzan films (and I like them all);

1145am- TARZAN'S DESERT MYSTERY (1943) Tarzan fights giant spiders and Nazi's!
1pm- TARZAN TRIUMPHS (1943) Tarzan kill more Nazi's!
345pm- TARZAN'S SECRET TREASURE (1941) This one's crazy!
8pm- TARZAN THE APE MAN (1932) The First one is a little talky at first, but stick with it-- elephants stomping pigmy's ALERT!
10pm- TARZAN AND HIS MATE (1934) Banned in seventeen countries for years because it's the raciest of all the Tarzan films-- and it's GREAT.
12am- TARZAN ESCAPES (1936) One of my favorites!

Saturday brings us NIAGARA (1952) which is a GREAT Technicolor Summer movie that looks and feels like a Hitchcock and is Marilyn Monroe's BEST film hands down.

SOME LIKE IT HOT (1959) is the ESSENTIAL on at 8pm-- I've never seen it, I love Billy Wilder, like Jack Lemmon, think Marilyn Monroe is OK and don't like Tony Curtis so that's why I've never given it a try-- but I bet it's good.  Why don't you watch it and let me know what I'm missing.

That's TCM this week-- see you next week for more Movie Recommendations.
