GREAT BATMAN ARTISTS #13: Kelly Jones
Few artists in Batman history draw more controversy than Kelly Jones-- his long earred Batman is either loved or hated by fans of the character, and I've often wondered how Batman drives the Batmobile wearing this particular mask (sunroof with the ears sticking out?), but no matter-- he's one of the best at capturing mood and atmosphere and so what if the anatomy is sometimes wonky-- like Tim Burton-- it's about style.
His best work on the character was the series of Red Rain graphic novels which finds Batman cursed with vampirism.
TOMORROW: Speaking of vampires-- what do you get if you mix Daredevil and Dracula?
