The Crimson Ghost

I don't particularly care for THE MISFITS but they've grabbed The Crimson Ghost as their mascot, and that makes them okay in my book.

The Crimson Ghost was the villain in a Republic Pictures Movie Serial from 1946 which also featured Charles Quigley, Linda Stirling and a pre-masked Lone Ranger Clayton Moore.

The serial is crazy fast paced-- each chapter is only about 10 minutes long and it's no more than 3-4 minutes before a chapter erupts in absolute chaos making it very entertaining.

The Ghost is one of the movies greatest villains, and a precursor to the supervillain as we know them today.

The Movie has never been commercially released on DVD but you can find nice copies on eBay for next to no money-- and at three and  a half hours long you'll get your entertainment value in it.
