Artist Spotlight; Lee Brown Coye
Lee Brown Coye was an artist I was vaguely familiar with through his work in the pulps of the 30s and 40s. With sharp eye for the grotesque and a twisted sensibility that probably inspired Charles Addams I was surprised to hear his name mentioned in Morgan Spurlock's COMIC CON documentary as an artist collected by two of my personal favorite artists- Mike Mignola and Richard Sala.
When two titans of darkness are fans, so am I.
There's not a lot of info on Coye on the web but there are several books looking at his works listed on Amazon including this one that looks to have great design, which is always a plus.
