This Week on TCM: ARSENIC AND OLD LACE

Today at 5:45pm TCM is showing TO HAVE AND HAVE NOT (1944) which is a terrific Bogie/Bacall film in which the two actors first met each other.  It's fast paced and well done.  A little too slick for some tastes but it's one of my favorites.

At 1:30am tomorrow night (Wed morning actually) is THE MORE THE MERRIER (1943) which I recommended a few weeks ago and I still recommend it.

At 8pm Thursday is ARSENIC AND OLD LACE (1944) which was actually filmed in 1942 and a movie Cary Grant felt he over-acted in but it's in my TOP three movies of all time--  Grant is Mortimar Brewster a theater critic who has to figure out what to do with the homicidal crazies in his family.
It's my MUST SEE for the week.

On Saturday they're showing THE THREE STOOGES MEET HERCULES which you SHOULD NOT WATCH AT ANY COST.  These are the bad stooges, the past their prime stooges.  The WHY would they do this stooges.

But after that is a BOSTON BLACKIE film at 10:45am and those are always entertaining.
GRAPES OF WRATH is on at 530pm and that is a real classic.  The Essential this week is THE RAZOR'S EDGE (1946) with Tyrone Power.  I've never seen it but it has a good rep.
